ParentEye is a parental control and family safety application intended only for lawful use by parents or legal guardians to supervise devices used by their children.

Important: ParentEye must not be used for secret surveillance, stalking, spying on adults, or monitoring anyone without the legal right and required consent to do so.

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how ParentEye ("ParentEye", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when parents or legal guardians use the ParentEye mobile application, dashboard, website, and related services.

2. Purpose of the App

ParentEye is designed to help parents and legal guardians support the safety and wellbeing of their children. Depending on the features enabled by the parent, ParentEye may help with screen-time supervision, device location visibility, app and website activity insights, device status, and family safety alerts.

ParentEye is not designed for covert tracking. The app should be installed and used only where the parent or guardian has the legal authority to manage the child's device and where all required notices and consents have been provided.

3. Data We Collect

ParentEye collects only the information needed to provide parental control and family safety features selected by the parent or guardian. The exact data collected depends on the configuration and permissions enabled.

Category Examples Purpose
Parent account data Name, email address, phone number, login information, support messages. Create and secure the parent account, provide support, send important service notices.
Child profile data Child name or nickname, age range, linked device identifier, family relationship settings. Connect a supervised child profile to the parent's account and apply parental controls.
Device and technical data Device model, operating system version, app version, device identifiers, IP address, crash logs, diagnostics. Operate the service, prevent abuse, fix bugs, improve reliability and security.
Location data Approximate or precise location, location history, geofence events, if enabled by the parent and permitted on the device. Show child device location and provide safety alerts requested by the parent.
App and device activity Installed apps, app usage time, screen-time events, device lock status, battery status. Provide screen-time management, app supervision, and family safety reporting.
Web and content safety data Visited domains or URLs, blocked categories, search or browsing safety signals, if the feature is enabled. Apply web protection rules and help parents review online safety risks.
Communication or notification metadata Notification titles, sender names, call/SMS metadata, or message-related safety signals only if the parent enables a feature that requires it and the operating system permits it. Provide safety alerts and supervision features selected by the parent.
Payment data Subscription plan, transaction status, billing identifiers handled by the app store or payment provider. Manage paid subscriptions and receipts. ParentEye does not store full card numbers.

ParentEye does not sell children's personal information. ParentEye does not use children's personal information for personalized advertising.

4. Device Permissions

ParentEye may request sensitive Android permissions only when they are necessary for a clearly disclosed parental control feature. These permissions may include location, usage access, accessibility services, notification access, device administration, VPN or network filtering, contacts, phone, SMS, storage, camera, or microphone, depending on the enabled product features.

Before collecting or transmitting personal or sensitive data that requires additional notice, ParentEye should show a prominent in-app disclosure explaining what data is collected, why it is needed, and how it will be used, and should obtain affirmative consent from the parent or legal guardian.

5. How We Use Data

  • To provide parental control, monitoring, device safety, and family management features.
  • To authenticate accounts and prevent unauthorized access.
  • To send service notices, safety alerts, and account messages.
  • To troubleshoot, maintain, secure, and improve ParentEye.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms where necessary.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited data only in the following cases:

  • With the parent or legal guardian who manages the supervised child profile.
  • With service providers that help us host, secure, analyze, or support the app, under confidentiality and data protection obligations.
  • With app stores and payment providers for subscription and billing management.
  • When required by law, court order, or valid legal process.
  • To protect the rights, safety, and security of users, children, ParentEye, or the public.

7. Children's Privacy and Parental Consent

ParentEye is intended to be used by parents or legal guardians to supervise their children's devices. Parents are responsible for ensuring they have the legal authority and any required consent before installing or using ParentEye on a child's device.

If ParentEye is used in a country or region with specific child privacy laws, such as COPPA, GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar laws, ParentEye should be used only in a way that complies with those requirements. If we learn that data was collected from a child without proper parental authorization, we will take appropriate steps to delete or restrict that data.

8. Parent Controls, Access, and Deletion

Parents or legal guardians may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of their account and associated child profile data. Some data can be deleted directly from the account dashboard or by uninstalling the child app and removing the child profile.

9. Security and Retention

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect family data using reasonable security measures.

We keep personal data only for as long as needed to provide ParentEye, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, protect users, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it where reasonably possible.

10. International Data Transfers

ParentEye may process data in countries other than the country where the parent or child is located. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal data.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide appropriate notice through the app, website, email, or other reasonable means. The effective date at the top of this page shows when this Privacy Policy was last updated.
